Handpainted Glassware

I (Kelly) am someone who absolutely adores painted glasses and jugs. Just before the Covid19 pandemic and subsequent first national lock down, I came across a lovely handpainted wine glasses and jug set. Sadly, the site would not ship to the UK, which is when I thought, ok I'll paint it myself, which is when it all started.  I began to research painting methods, how to paint on glass and the most essential part of the process, brushes and paint, which is where I came across the technique of Onestroke painting, which was created by Donna Dewberry. I started practicing on countless empty mayonnaise jars and eventually moved onto glasses and jugs. 

 At the end of July 2020 I was fortunate enough to have a 2 hour 1-1 zoom lesson with Donna Dewberry. Other than that one session I am completely self taught. I have surprised myself with how much joy I find in painting and can lose hours sitting and painting. It might sound a cliche, but if I can do it anyone can. Although I hope you don't and instead support my small business cabbagesandqueens Glassware . Now I can create beautiful glassware and here I am sharing my creations with you. Kelly
